    Our virtual classroom features lessons in:

    - History & philosophy of Yin Yoga

    - Yin vs. Yang: balancing energetic principles

    - Benefits, contraindications and intentions of the practice

    - The role of stillness, time & gravity

    - Functional vs. aesthetic anatomy

    - Targeting the fascia, joints, and deep tissues

    - The Chinese Meridian system & five elements

    - Organ-emotion connections in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

  • live meeting / Experiential

    Our live lesson explores:

    - Key yin postures: variations, modifications, and use of props

    - Functional approach to alignment

    - Rebound and transitions

    - Sequencing for therapeutic and energetic outcomes

    - Language and cueing in a yin class

    - Holding space and guiding silence

    - The art of theming and integrating mindfulness

    - Pracitcum teaching time with peers and feedback

  • Upon Completion

    Teachers will receive a certificate for 20 CEU credits with Yoga Alliance of America upon completion of live training and all online content plus a submitted yoga class video.

    With guidance and community discussions led by our faculty, each student will submit a led-practice for feedback

    to receive support and grow as teachers

    This support continues as long as you need with options to schedule a live one-on-one session with our lead trainer if desired for further guidance.

Course structure

This is a hybrid virtual event designed for you to learn at your own pace. Attendees will receive an email with instructions on how to access the materials and information to join our live weekend experience in person or virtually.

Live classes will be recorded, and these recordings can be requested on a case-by-case basis by email. Yoga Alliance requires a minimum number of contact hours attended live with faculty for CEU credit.

With 2.5 decades of experience teaching mindful movement to people of all ages and abilities, Denver has now been teaching yoga for over 16 years, having owned and operated her own yoga studio for 8.5 years in Blue Ridge, GA and was the acting program director and curriculum writer for Heartwood Yoga Institute in Bradenton, FL from 2016 - 2023. She teaches Anatomy, Meditation, Pranayama and more and has helped build and teach an accredited Yoga Therapy program with the International Association of Yoga Therapists and now sits on the member schools committee with IAYT. She owns and operates her own accredited yoga teacher training school under Embodied Health and is the founder of yogateachersupport.com an online resource and community for yoga teachers offering resources, articles, ceu courses and more. Denver is also a regular contributing author for Yoga Journal online.
